Notification About Potential Privacy Issue

On March 3, 2022, One Homecare Solutions became aware that two laptops were stolen from an employee’s home.

MIRAMAR, Fla. – On March 3, 2022, One Homecare Solutions became aware that two laptops were stolen from an employee’s home.

The employee immediately filed a police report regarding the theft. In addition, One Homecare Solutions notified the approximately 15,000 patients across Florida whose information may have been included on the stolen laptops.

Personal financial information and full Social Security numbers were not contained in the stolen laptops. Patient information included:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • Health insurance member identification number
  • Medical information; and the
  • Last four digits of Social Security number in some instances.


The company is offering an identity theft protection service at no cost to all patients identified as having the last four digits of their Social Security numbers exposed.

One Homecare Solutions is advising notified patients to remain vigilant by reviewing documents for suspicious activity, including health insurance statements, medical records, account statements and credit reports. If patients find unfamiliar activity on any health insurance statements they receive, they should notify their health insurance company immediately. If they see suspicious activity on their credit report, they should call their local police office to file a report for identity theft. 

One Homecare Solutions has policies and procedures in place to maintain the security of patient information, and we take this responsibility very seriously.
